
Djuro Matsut officially assumed the office of Prime Minister of Serbia Thursday, receiving the post from his predecessor, Milos Vucic.
The handover took place at the Serbian government building in Belgrade, one day after the National Assembly of Serbia voted to elect the new government..
Earlier this week, Matsut presented his program and cabinet members to the parliament.
The National Assembly of Serbia on Wednesday confirmed the new 31-member government. Prime Minister Matsut and his cabinet members were sworn in before lawmakers, in the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
