Russia and Ukraine have agreed to stop fighting in the Black Sea, in a surprise breakthrough announced by the White House.
Both sides pledged to keep shipping routes safe, avoid using commercial vessels for military purposes, and halt attacks in the area.
The deal, brokered during marathon talks in Saudi Arabia, also includes plans to swap prisoners, release civilians, and return Ukrainian children taken by force.
The US said it would help restore Russia’s access to global food and fertiliser markets as part of the package — a major win for Moscow.
Donald Trump, backing the truce, said ending the bloodshed was key to lasting peace. Washington vowed to keep pushing both sides toward a final agreement.
