Albania’s opposition is gearing up for a fierce battle at the ballot box, with 26 parties joining forces in a last-minute coalition to take on Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The newly formed alliance, officially named “Democratic Party – Alliance for a Glorious Albania,” is led by ex-PM Sali Berisha and backed by major players like the Freedom Party and the Party for Justice, Integration, and Unity (PDIU). Their mission? To push Rama out of power and “restore democracy” in Albania.
With corruption, soaring costs, and EU integration on the table, the opposition is promising big changes. The coalition says it will raise wages, cut living costs, and crack down on crime. But will voters buy it?
One big shift—candidates from all 26 parties will run under a single banner, meaning no more party divisions on the ballot. It’s a bold move, but can this mega-bloc stay united when the pressure mounts?
