Albania’s Parliament Speaker, Elisa Spiropali, launched her “Kuvendojmë për Shqipërinë” (“Let’s Talk for Albania”) program in Vlora on Tuesday, giving locals a chance to hold their leaders to account.
At the Palace of Culture, Spiropali kicked off “Kuvend-ON,” a new platform designed to let people raise their concerns directly with Parliament. The initiative is all about transparency and giving citizens a voice in government decisions.
Spiropali was joined by local figures, including Mayor Ermal Dredha, students, entrepreneurs, pensioners, and young people. They seized the chance to speak directly with the Speaker, who stressed the importance of public debate in strengthening Albania’s democracy.
The Speaker also took time to highlight Albania’s progress in the EU accession process, calling the opening of negotiations “a massive win” and declaring that Albania’s EU future is almost here.
“We need a fair justice system where the law is the same for everyone,” Spiropali said. “No one should be torn down without proof.”
With “Kuvend-ON” spreading across Albania, Spiropali is on a mission to make the government more accountable and accessible to all.
