The Democratic Party (PD) is rallying Albanian emigrants in Greece to back their cause ahead of the May 11 elections. Party leaders highlighted the power of the diaspora vote in turning Albania’s political future around.
Flamur Noka, PD Secretary-General, and Gazment Bardhi, parliamentary group leader, praised Albanians abroad for their vital contributions, urging them to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
“This is a fight to save Albania from the darkness Edi Rama has trapped it in,” Noka said. “We need to restore the country to a path of growth and integration.”
Bardhi criticized Prime Minister Rama for pushing Albanians out of the country, stating, “Without you, we haven’t succeeded. Your vote is essential.”
Fredi Beleri, an MEP, joined the call, urging PD supporters to ignore negative propaganda and turn out in force. “Don’t listen to the noise. PD works, makes mistakes, but we need your forgiveness and unity. The real threat is much greater,” Beleri warned.
The PD declared the diaspora vote “the most crucial in 34 years of democracy” as it sets its sights on the May election.
