Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has nominated Konstantinos Tasoulas to be the next president of Greece.
Mitsotakis praised Tasoulas’ strong reputation, pointing out that he was elected Parliament Speaker three times with huge support. “He received 283, 270, and 249 votes, making him one of the most trusted leaders in Greece,” Mitsotakis said.
The Prime Minister called on all political parties to back Tasoulas, emphasizing his experience, knowledge, and strong character.
Tasoulas, 66, is a well-respected lawyer and former Minister of Culture, who has served in New Democracy governments before becoming Speaker of Parliament.
