Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vu?i? are in Brussels today for talks with the EU’s new foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas.
The meeting comes just days after an explosion in Zubin Potok, which Kurti has blamed on Belgrade, calling it a “terrorist attack” and ramping up already high tensions between the two countries.
It’s Kallas’ first meeting with both Kurti and Vu?i? since taking office as the EU’s top diplomat on December 1. The discussions are seen as key to easing the current crisis and improving relations between the two leaders.
The pair will also attend a working dinner hosted by the new President of the European Council, alongside other Western Balkan leaders. The EU is keen to foster dialogue and stability in the region during this critical time.
