The Albanian Parliament is meeting today to discuss and approve the 2025 budget. The session begins at 10:00 AM and will focus on the budget plan for next year.
Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, which is the main opposition party in the country, is also returning to Parliament after the court lifted his house arrest, allowing him to rejoin.
The budget is expected to be approved both in full and section by section. The Economy and Finance Committee will also share its opinion, with most lawmakers likely to support the plan.
The budget was first approved in principle on November 19, after a 48-hour debate. It passed with 75 votes in favor, 40 against, and 22 lawmakers absent.
