Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti considered Austria as a “partner and ally” during a gathering with Kosovo’s diaspora in Vienna, organized by the Kosovo Embassy. Kurti praised Austria’s support for Kosovo across economic, security, and cultural fronts, calling for further investment and collaboration between the two nations.
Joined by Foreign Minister Donika Gërvalla, Kurti acknowledged Austria’s “historic and ongoing contributions” to Kosovo, adding that Austrian investment in the country is approaching half a billion euros. Kosovo’s exports to Austria are steadily rising, a sign of the growing trade relationship between the two nations.
In his address, Kurti encouraged the Kosovo diaspora to continue investing and to explore ways to work back home. He emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to supporting diaspora initiatives, highlighting the government’s “Diaspora Investment Window” as a key support tool.
Kurti also attended the Vienna Economic Forum, where he was the keynote speaker at a session focused on the urgency of economic cooperation amid regional and global challenges.
