Oct 7, 2024 – Montenegro’s President, Jakov Milatovi?, is hosting the Brdo-Brioni Process Leaders’ Summit in Porto Montenegro, Tivat, on October 7 and 8. The summit gathers leaders from the Western Balkans and European Union member states to discuss ways to improve regional cooperation and strengthen ties with the EU.
During the two-day event, a plenary session will address key challenges facing the Western Balkans as they strive for closer integration with the EU. Leaders will focus on promoting stability, deepening collaboration, and resolving lingering political and economic issues within the region.
A joint press conference will follow the plenary session, featuring statements from Montenegrin President Milatovi?, Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, and Croatian President Zoran Milanovi?.
The Brdo-Brioni Process, a Slovenian-Croatian initiative launched in 2010, aims to foster dialogue and trust among the Western Balkans. Its members—Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo—are all seeking closer EU ties.
