UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy discussed Kosovo-Serbia relations and Bosnia’s situation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade.
Lammy stressed the Western Balkans’ stability to the UK, and Serbia’s role. Vucic emphasized dialogue on Kosovo.
Lammy’s Belgrade visit followed meetings with Kosovo leaders, where he urged Kosovo-Serbia normalization. His regional tour focuses on combating irregular immigration and organized crime.
Lammy voiced concern over Republika Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik’s “unconstitutional actions.” Vu?i? disagreed, citing other factors in Bosnia’s situation, but affirmed Serbia’s respect for the Dayton Agreement and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s territorial integrity.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sought Interpol warrants for Dodik and RS National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandi?. Dodik claimed Vu?i? said Interpol rejected the request; Vu?i? did not confirm this.
Serbian acting ministers Sinisa Mali, Marko ?uri?, and Ivica Da?i? attended the meeting. Three memorandums of understanding were signed.
