The Pristina Basic Court has issued arrest warrants for 20 individuals suspected of war crimes during the 1999 Kosovo war in Gjakova/Djakovica.
The court said the suspects, part of Serbian military and police forces, are accused of killing 106 Albanian civilians, unlawfully imprisoning 300 others, and destroying civilian homes. Victims were later found in a mass grave in Serbia.
Among those wanted is Milan Radoicic, a former deputy leader of Srpska Lista, already under investigation for leading an armed attack in northern Kosovo in 2023. Kosovo authorities have also linked him to corruption and organized crime. He denies the allegations.
The suspects are not accessible to Kosovo authorities and are believed to be in Serbia.
