Albania’s southern coast is gearing up for a strong tourism season, with bookings in Vlora already surpassing last year’s numbers. Vasil Bedini, head of the region’s tourism operators, predicts a 20% increase in visitors, marking a promising year ahead.
Tourism in the south is divided into two phases: a cultural season and the summer rush. Both are expected to perform well, with anticipation building around the completion of Vlora’s new airport, which could further boost arrivals.
Albania’s participation in the Berlin Travel Fair drew strong interest from foreign tour operators, with high demand for group travel. France, in particular, is emerging as a key market, with increasing bookings across the region.
Hotels and businesses are already preparing, hiring additional staff, including foreign workers, to meet demand. Prices for accommodations and services are expected to remain stable, ensuring Albania remains an attractive and affordable destination.
