20 MARCH 2025 – Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has called the May 11 elections a “geopolitical vote”, stressing that Albania’s EU integration is at stake.
“This is an existential issue—Albania cannot stay outside Europe,” Rama said in his “Sy m’Sy” segment, urging voters to back his party to ensure EU accession talks remain on track.
He emphasized that Albania’s history has always been tied to Europe, and that closing negotiations by 2027 would be a historic moment.
“This is about Albania’s future, not party politics. On May 11, every vote counts toward our place in the EU,” Rama declared.
