Donald Trump came face to face with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a tense White House meeting, with the U.S. president making it clear – Ukraine must cut a deal with Russia or risk losing American support.
Sitting in the Oval Office, Trump told Zelenskyy bluntly: “You are gambling with World War Three.” He warned Ukraine’s leader that his country is in “big trouble” and needs to rethink its approach.
The pair were set to sign a critical minerals deal, a move aimed at balancing the billions of U.S. dollars spent on arming Kyiv. But discussions soon spiraled into heated exchanges over the war, peace talks, and America’s role in the conflict.
Trump later doubled down, declaring on Truth Social: “Zelenskyy can come back when he’s ready for peace.”
‘We’re in the Middle’
At one point, Trump told reporters: “I’m for Ukraine and Russia. I want to solve this.” He even revealed he spoke to Vladimir Putin just days ago, hinting that the Kremlin leader is open to ending the war.
But Zelenskyy wasn’t buying it. He confronted Trump with photos of Ukrainian prisoners of war, demanding the U.S. not “compromise with a killer.”
The Ukrainian leader also clashed with Vice President JD Vance, only for Trump to step in, silencing him: “No, no – you’ve spoken enough.”
Press Conference AXED
The chaos didn’t stop there. A planned joint press conference was suddenly scrapped, and Zelenskyy left the White House immediately after.
Adding fuel to the fire, a Russian state media journalist was kicked out of the Oval Office, after sneaking in without approval.
With tensions running high, Trump’s message to Ukraine was crystal clear: Make a deal – or America is out.
