UEFA has confirmed that Albania and Serbia will be the co-hosts for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The tournament, held every two years, is set to take place in June 2027, featuring 16 teams from across Europe.
This marks a historic opportunity for Albania, as it will be the first time the country hosts such a major international youth competition. The U-21 Championship will showcase Europe’s brightest young football talents, including players already competing in top-tier leagues.
Both Albania and Serbia will host eight teams each, with the final match to be held at the National Arena in Tirana. With a capacity of 22,000, the stadium previously hosted the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League final, adding further prestige to this high-profile event.
In addition to the National Arena, matches in Albania will be played at the “Loro Boriçi” Stadium in Shkodër, “Elbasan Arena” in Elbasan, and “Arena Egnatia” in Rrogozhinë, spreading the excitement across the country.
This collaboration between Albania and Serbia marks a new chapter for the region’s football and promises to bring an electric atmosphere to the 2027 competition.
