Albin Kurti’s ruling party scored a major VICTORY in Kosovo’s general election, securing around 41% of the vote, but the road to forming a new government remains uncertain.
Official results from the Central Election Commission show that Vetëvendosje (VV) won big in Pristina, where it took 46.91% of the vote. Nationally, the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) followed with 25.63%, while the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) came third with 18.29%.
Despite leading the race, Kurti now faces a COALITION BATTLE to secure a ruling majority. With no clear partner yet, tense political negotiations are expected in the coming days.
