The Special Prosecution of Kosovo (PSRK) has launched a bold move, submitting a request for Prime Minister Albin Kurti to appear in court as a witness regarding the controversial state reserves case. The request was filed just last week, and the court’s decision is expected in the coming days.
If approved, Kurti must voluntarily appear before the PSRK to give his testimony. Failure to comply with the court order could result in hefty fines, and potentially even arrest.
Should the court back the prosecution’s request, Kurti will be expected to cooperate by March’s first week. If he doesn’t, police will step in to enforce the ruling, bringing him in by force if necessary.
Kosovo’s political landscape is bracing for what could be a pivotal moment. Will the Prime Minister comply, or will he face further legal repercussions? Stay tuned.
