Donald Trump has officially kicked off his second term, declaring the “era of change” is here as he promised to make America great again.
In a bold speech after taking the oath, Trump said he will build a “merit-based society” and emphasized policies that only recognize two genders: male and female.
“We will be a rich country again, and the liquid gold beneath our feet will help us,” Trump told the crowd, signaling a return to energy independence to power the economy.
Among his first moves? Scrapping electric vehicle mandates and boosting American auto workers.
“We’ll make cars in the U.S. again and protect American jobs,” Trump vowed.
He also unveiled plans for a new Department of Government Efficiency and a major push to defend free speech through an executive order.
