Police in northern Kosovo uncovered weapons, cryptocurrency mining equipment, and other suspicious items during a raid in the Serb-majority town of Mitrovica.
Officers swooped on a property on Kollashini Street following a tip-off about suspicious activity. A search of the house and its outbuildings turned up a cache of items, including a rifle, 42 crypto mining rigs, five graphic cards, a revolver magazine with 14 bullets, a radio, surveillance camera, and computer equipment.
Kosovo Police confirmed the mining equipment has been handed over to the customs authority. “No suspects were present at the scene, but one individual of interest has been identified for questioning,” they said.
Prosecutors have opened a case for unauthorized possession of weapons.
This marks the latest in a string of raids in the volatile northern region, highlighting ongoing tensions and criminal activities in the area.
