GAZA CITY, JAN 30 – Islamist militants in the Gaza Strip have started releasing more hostages, with Israeli soldier Agam Berger handed over to Red Cross officials in a dramatic live TV broadcast. The footage showed Berger, surrounded by rubble in the northern Gaza town of Jabaliya, being escorted by masked armed men.
Reports suggest that along with Berger, German-Israelis Arbel Yehud and Gadi Moses, as well as five Thai workers, are also set to be freed. The move marks a significant step in a tense situation as more hostages are expected to be released in the coming days.
