Sali Berisha, leader of Albania’s opposition Democratic Party, has called for the country’s largest-ever protest on February 8. The demonstration, he said, will see thousands of people take to the streets of Tirana to express their discontent with the current government.
“The Democratic Party has long declared civil disobedience as the only way to stand against this government. On February 8, we will stage the biggest protest Albania has ever seen to show our full rejection of this criminal regime,” Berisha declared.
He urged all Albanians to unite for the protest, stating, “I call on everyone to join us in Tirana on February 8. The entire country will be in the streets to oppose the regime that has caused the greatest damage to Albania in its history.”
