The Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has expressed sorrow over two devastating incidents on New Year’s Day in Montenegro and the USA.
In a statement, the Ministry said: “We are deeply saddened by the tragedies near Cetinje in Montenegro and in New Orleans, USA. Our condolences go to the families of all the victims.”
The MFA also wished a speedy recovery to the injured and voiced solidarity with the affected communities, condemning the violence as senseless.
A grim start to 2025
In New Orleans, a van attack left 15 dead and 35 injured. Meanwhile, in Montenegro, 12 people, including two children, were killed near Cetinje, with four others injured.
The Ministry’s response joins global calls for unity and resilience in the face of these tragedies.
