Albania has criticized Serbia for barring two Albanian citizens from entering the country, intensifying tensions between the two nations.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs summoned Serbian Ambassador Slobodan Vuk?evi? after two Albanian civil society members attending a seminar in Belgrade were stopped and expelled.
“This action undermines efforts for good neighborly relations and restricts the free movement of our citizens,” the ministry said, confirming that Albania’s embassy in Belgrade is following the situation closely.
The ministry urged Serbian authorities to review the decision and prevent similar cases in the future. Reports indicate activists from other nations were also banned.
