Albania has expressed deep solidarity with Turkey following a devastating fire at the Kartalkaya ski resort in Bolu province that claimed at least 76 lives and injured 51 others.
Albania’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs took to social media platform X, posting: “Heartbroken by the tragic news of the fire at Kartalkaya ski resort in Turkey, where many lives have been lost.”
The ministry added, “In this difficult moment, Albania and its people stand in solidarity with Turkey, extending our sincerest condolences to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.”
The disaster has left the popular winter destination reeling as authorities investigate the cause of the blaze.
