Albania’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has announced a €250 million low-interest loan initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a focus on agriculture.
In a video message, Rama confirmed that the Bank of Albania had approved the new financing line, which will be backed by a sovereign guarantee from the government.
“This is the largest ever funding dedicated to agriculture and agro-processing, including greenhouses, agrotourism, and technology,” said Rama.
The move is set to provide vital support for Albania’s SME sector, boosting innovation and growth in key industries.
