In Tirana, Police Chief Elton Alushi described the force as “a steadfast protector of the law,” acknowledging its sacrifices over the years. Mayor Erion Veliaj praised the police for transforming Tirana into one of Europe’s safest capitals.
“The police have undergone incredible changes in recent years, and their work is invaluable,” Veliaj said, pledging continued cooperation with law enforcement.
Officials from Tirana’s local and regional councils also attended, joining similar celebrations held nationwide to mark the milestone.
