A huge $1.4 billion resort is set to be built on Sazan Island, off the coast of Albania. The American company Atlantic Incubation Partners LLC will develop the project, which will include a marina, luxury hotels, high-end apartments, restaurants, and leisure areas.
The resort will cover 45 hectares of land and is expected to create 1,000 jobs. It will be built in three stages, with plans to improve the marina and expand ferry services.
Although part of the island is in a national park, the island is owned by the Ministry of Defence, which has used it for military training. The resort will not disturb the island’s protected areas, including its beautiful coral reefs and cliffs.
