Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has missed his appearance as a witness at the Special Prosecution today, leaving authorities to reschedule his testimony.
Kurti was called to testify in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation, though the details of the case are still kept under wraps. His office informed the Special Prosecution that he is abroad and unable to attend.
Liridona Kozmaqi, spokesperson for the Special Prosecution, confirmed the no-show. “We’ve been told that Kurti is out of the country and can’t make it today,” she said. “We’ll be issuing a new invitation as required by law.”
The investigation involves allegations of misuse of the state’s reserve funds, though specifics are still unclear.
