Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani met with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte in Budapest this week, focusing on security and the crucial role of NATO’s KFOR peacekeeping forces in Kosovo.
Osmani shared details of the meeting on social media, explaining that her conversation with Rutte centred around Kosovo’s security priorities and the continued importance of NATO’s presence in stabilising the region. “Ongoing discussions with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte about the security situation in Kosovo,” Osmani wrote, highlighting the commitment to work together on regional stability.
Their meeting took place alongside the European Political Community Summit, which brought together leaders from around the world to discuss issues from security to economic cooperation.
