Albanian Foreign Minister Igli Hasani met with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg today, discussing ways to strengthen bilateral ties, particularly in the context of Albania’s European Union aspirations.
In their talks, Hasani emphasized the importance of Austria’s unwavering support for Albania’s EU integration journey. “We discussed the strong relationship between Albania and Austria, as well as key regional developments. We are ready to deepen our cooperation, especially on Albania’s EU path, and are deeply grateful for Austria’s steadfast backing,” Hasani stated.
The meeting came at a time when Albania is pushing forward with its EU accession process, and Austria has consistently played a supportive role in those efforts. Hasani also expressed optimism about expanding cooperation in various sectors, underlining the potential for stronger ties between the two nations.
The two ministers also touched on broader regional issues, reaffirming their commitment to stability and growth in the Balkans.
