Oct 7, 2024 – Albania has unveiled a new programme to provide Albanian-language teachers for its diaspora, starting in Greece and expanding to the UK in partnership with Kosovo.
The initiative, “Teachers for the diaspora,” aims to strengthen cultural ties with Albanians living abroad and is part of a broader effort to engage the diaspora ahead of the 2025 elections.
Minister Taulant Balla announced the plan at the opening of an Albanian school in London, noting the growing influence of the Albanian community overseas.
“Albanians abroad are becoming more involved in shaping our future, especially with voting rights in 2025,” Balla said.
The programme is expected to foster a deeper connection with younger generations abroad, enhancing both language skills and cultural awareness.
