Oct 10, 2024 – During his visit to Albania, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama signed four agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations. The agreements cover various sectors, including agriculture, education, communication, and overall strategic partnership.
The signing ceremony occurred before a joint press conference, where both leaders emphasized the importance of their growing relationship. They signed a Joint Declaration on Deepening the Strategic Partnership, a commitment established through the High-Level Cooperation Council between Turkey and Albania.
Fahrettin Altun, Head of Communications at the Turkish Presidency, and Alteo Hysi, General Director of the Media and Information Agency of Albania, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the field of Public Relations and Communication. This agreement aims to foster stronger communication ties and collaborative efforts between the two countries.
Additionally, a declaration of intent for cooperation in agriculture was inked by Turkish Minister Ibrahim Yumakl? and Albanian Minister Anila Denaj. This partnership aims to support the agricultural sector in Albania, enhancing its resilience and sustainability.
Furthermore, the protocol for the opening of branches and academic programs of Istanbul Technical University in Albania was signed by Erol Özvar, Chairman of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey, and Albanian Minister Ogerta Manastirliu. This initiative is expected to enrich educational opportunities for students in Albania, fostering academic collaboration between the two countries.
