Oct 10, 2024 – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Albania today for an official visit, where he was welcomed with a state reception by Albanian President Bajram Begaj.
The ceremony marked the beginning of Erdogan’s visit, which includes high-level meetings and the signing of bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
Following the reception, Erdo?an held a one-on-one meeting with Begaj, before leading broader discussions between Turkish and Albanian delegations. Later, Erdogan is expected to meet with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, followed by a session of the High-Level Cooperation Council.
Several agreements are set to be signed during the visit, covering various sectors including trade, infrastructure, and agriculture. A press conference will follow these talks to inform the media about the outcomes.
One of the visit’s key highlights will be the inauguration of the Namazgya Mosque in Tirana, a project funded by Turkey, which Erdo?an will attend alongside Albanian officials.
Accompanying Erdogan on his trip are several senior Turkish officials, including First Lady Emine Erdo?an, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and ministers from various departments such as trade, transport, energy, and agriculture.
This visit is seen as a continuation of the close relationship between Albania and Turkey, with both leaders expected to emphasize their commitment to deepening economic and political cooperation.
